The lounge was fantastic, especially for relative newbies such as myself. There really isn't much that can compare to you boyfriend gleefully making fruit smoothies for a couple hours straight.
Boarding went smoothly and we quickly took our seats in the business class aboard American's flagship Business on the 777-300ER. I have a few reviews I will post where I review this more thoroughly, but honestly, it's pretty bog standard these days.

I had to do the beef wellington, and it was excellent. The pastry may have suffered a bit, but the beef itself was well done. Through the flight, I also enjoyed both the wagyu slides, as well as the traditional American breakfast (Canadian bacon in my American breakfast? How dare they!).
The galley was also regularly stocked with fruits, snacks and other yummies.
